Sustainability and Environment
Sustainability is at the heart of what we do. That’s why we created Phoenix Stock, our sustainable product range. Featuring commercial display products that have served a three-year contract and go on to be refurbished, our Phoenix products have been given a second life and are now available for sale or hire. This guarantees that products are upcycled and used multiple times, reducing environmental damage.
Alongside creating our Phoenix range, we strive to be a sustainable company in a number of ways.
Packaging and Pallet Reuse: All packaging materials used in deliveries are returned to our warehouse for reuse. Wooden pallets from inbound deliveries are used again for outbound trade orders, ensuring minimal waste.
Energy Efficient Warehouses: Our modern warehouses are built with high insulation standards, reducing the need for heating or cooling. We do not use air conditioning or central heating; instead, personal electric heaters on timers have proven to be an effective and sustainable solution.
Waste Management: We partner with Biffa Waste Management for sorted waste collection. Non-recyclable waste is sent to a local incinerator, less than two miles away, where it is converted into power. We aim to ensure that nearly 100% of our waste is recycled.
Electric Vehicles: Since 2018, Fizzco has committed to using 100% electric cars for company operations. We are actively looking for an electric van option to replace our current fleet as soon as a suitable model becomes available.
Sustainable Lighting in Production: All production lighting is LED-based, energy-efficient, and 100% recyclable.
Transportation: Wooden crates and pallets are used to transport goods from manufacturers to end-users, reducing packaging waste.
Circular Economy: We aim to recycle almost all decorations used in commercial displays. Stock will be returned to our showroom for redressing, refurbishment, or reuse. We are committed to giving products a second life wherever possible. New products starting their contract in 2025 will then be refurbished and offered to trade customers in 2028 and beyond.
Zellar: We are avid users and advocates of the Zellar Sustainability online assessment tool. We have a current score of 550 out of 1000 and are actively working towards increasing that. We aim to achieve net zero by 2050 and have committed to halving emissions by 2030.
At Fizzco, we believe in sustainability as a continuous journey, and we are dedicated to reducing our environmental impact at every stage of our operation.

“Once again Fizzco sparkled at the Corn Exchange, adding some magic with their traditional Christmas decorations for the Victorian building. Customers loved the centrepiece Christmas tree and ‘JOY’ lighting which became the image of our Christmas campaign. Thanks to Wendy, Russell, and the team at Fizzco for making everything so easy. We are already looking forward to working on Christmas 2017.”
